Torso: The length of the torso is measured form the armpit to the bottom hem.
Hips: Stand with your heels together and measure around the fullest part of your hips.
The extra smalls are designed to fit women with very thin arms, narrow shoulders, and a small chest. If you are petite but are a “C” cup or larger, a small would most likely give you a better fit.

How to choose your size
Your numerical pre-pregnancy size is a good guideline to use. But, because everybody is unique, we recommend using your tape measurer to get your exact measurements, then using our sizing chart to determine your perfect size.
Early and post-pregnancy
In maternity fashion, this time is called your “transition period”. A time to go for “transitional pieces” because you may feel your clothes fit to snuggly, but maternity clothes are too big. If you are in your first trimester and are really beginning to show try our small shirt. Because of it’s form fitting to the body it will still look great as well as give you the extra room needed. Don’t worry – you’ll grow into it before you know it!
Third trimester
Your favorite jil designs shirts that fit you so well in your second trimester may be feeling a bit too snug right around now. We recommend picking up a shirt in a size larger than you took during your second trimester. You’ll feel , and look, better!
